Why use a sleeping bag?Updated 2 months ago

Why use a sleeping bag?
Many families wonder about the difference between dressing their baby in pajamas with a blanket or using a sleeping bag. Experts recommend that it’s better for babies to sleep in sleeping bags rather than loose blankets, which can accidentally cover the baby's face and increase the risk of suffocation.

Blankets can end up covering their face, and that’s something we never want to happen. Not only that, but with blankets or quilts, babies can easily uncover themselves, which can cause their body temperature to fluctuate.

Blankets move easily during sleep, causing babies to become uncovered and lose body heat. A sleeping bag keeps the temperature consistent, fits comfortably, and allows the baby to move freely without uncovering or being at risk.

Can a newborn use a sleeping bag?
This is a very common question among first-time parents. We usually give the same advice: it depends on the size of the baby. You should wait until the baby’s head can’t slip through the neck opening once the bag is closed—this avoids any risk of suffocation.

Every baby is different, and so is every body. We offer sleeping bags starting from size 0–3 months (Newborn), which is what we usually recommend for newborns. However, our advice is to wait until the first month, observe how your baby sleeps, and see how they grow.
